  1. The Highlights of AstroWorld '98 
  2. With our software you may create individual natal charts, synastry-,
  3. solar-, lunar- transit-, combine- and composite charts.
  4.  
  5. System Requirements 
  6. You will need Windows 95 or NT 4.0, at least 16 MB RAM, better 32 and
  7. for best performance a Pentium-Processor. 
  8. MS Internet Explorer 3.02 or higher
  9.  
  10. Attention: 
  11. In order to reduce the size of the Demo-Download-Version of AstroWorld '98
  12. we integrated a smaller database of locations (4000 worldwide,
  13. instead of 125.000) as well as a reduced text-database. In case you
  14. order the registered or pro version you will receive 125.000 locations as
  15. well as a text-database containing natal-, transit and
  16. combine/composite reports.

  20. and the AstroWorld.hlp file.

  32. Known Problems:
  33.  
  34. 1. Division by zero in User.exe
  35.  
  36. Cause:
  37. AstroWorld 98 uses components of the MS Internet Explorer (min. 3.02)
  38. Either your MS Internet Explorer 3.02 is not installed or the installation is not
  39. correct.
  40.  
  41. Solution:
  42. Install the MS Internet Explorer (min. 3.02)
  43. This can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/ie/
  44.

  46. 2. Microsoft Visual C++ RunTime Error - Abnormal Program Termination
  47.  
  48. Cause:
  49. During the installation of AstroWorld 98 the file mfc42.dll was in use und could
  50. not be overwritten by our Setup.
  51.  
  52. Solution:
  53. Delete the file mfc42.dll from the Windows/System(Win95) or Windows/System32(NT4.0)
  54. directory. Usually the Windows/System directory can be found on the hard drive C:.
  55. After you have deleted this file start the AW98 installation again. Now Setup will
  56. install mfc42.dll correctly.

  59. 3. The Jet VBA file (vbajet.dll for 16bit version or vbajet32.dll for 32bit version)
  60. failed to initialize when called...
  61.  
  62. Solution:
  63. Delete the file vbajet32.dll from the Windows/System(Win95) or
  64. Windows/System32(NT4.0) directory. Usually the Windows/System directory can be
  65. found on the hard drive C:. After you have deleted this file start the AW98
  66. installation again. Now Setup will install VBAJET32.dll correctly..

  69. 4. Could not initialize DAO 35 JetEngine
  70.  
  71. Cause:
  72. The DAO 35 JetEngine was not correctly registered in the Windows Registry.
  73.  
  74. Solution:
  75. The file \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Dao\dao350.dll has to
  76. be registered manually.
  77. Usually the directory \Program Filese\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Dao\ can be
  78. found on the hard drive C:.
  79.         
  80. Execute the command Start-Run:            
  81. C:\Windows\System\regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Dao\dao350.dll".

  83. Tip: Copy this command into the Start-Run dialogbox. Change the name of the
  84. directory if necessary and confirm with OK.     
  85.  
  86. In case this error should persist close all running applications and delete the
  87. following files:
  88.     \Windows\System\Oleauth32.dll 
  89.     \Windows\System\OlePro32.dll 
  90.     \Windows\System\Msjet35.dll 
  91.  
  92. Install AstroWorld 98 again.

  96. 5. An Unsupported Operation was attempted 
  97.  
  98. Cause:
  99. The file msflxgrd.ocx from the Windows/System directory was not correctly
  100. registered in the Windows Registry.
  101.  
  102. Solution:
  103. The file \Windows\System\msflxgrd.ocx has to be registered manually.
  104. Usually the directory Windows/System can be found on the hard drive C:.
  105.             
  106. Execute the command Start-Run:            
  107. C:\Windows\System\regsvr32.exe "C:\Windows\System\msflxgrd.ocx".
  108.  
  109. Tip: Copy this command into the Start-Run dialogbox. Change the name of the
  110. directory if necessary and confirm with OK.
  111.  
  112. 6. Font problem
  113. You get things like pound signs paragraph signs etc. instead of astrological
  114. symbols in the chart.
  115.  
  116. Cause:
  117. The AstroWorld 2000 Font (astrofnt.ttf) was not registered correctly.
  118.  
  119. Solution:
  120. Just reload/reregister the AstroWorld font from within the control
  121. panel.
  122. The font name is AstroFont 2000, astrofnt.ttf and must be loacted in
  123. your Win95/Fonts directory.
  124. So open the control panel font option and doubleclick on AstroFont 2000.
